"To promote and increase awareness of environmental issues concerning the beautification of the southern Illinois region, and to assist in beautification projects through community service opportunities."

Upcoming Events

Beautify Southern Illinois Student Alliance (BSISA) is a group working to help preserve the natural beauty of southern Illinois through volunteerism, environmental education, and service learning. Membership is free--no dues! And, everyone is welcome! BSISA meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays each month at the SIUC Student Center at 6:30 p.m. On months with five Tuesdays, the 5th Tuesday is a social event.

Become an SIUC Environmental Ambassador: SIUC students who volunteer 30 or more hours for positive environmental projects (examples above) during an academic year qualify for the honorary “SIUC Environmental Ambassador Award”.
